Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Kukdoku ("Kukdoku", "we", "us") collects in our games and on our website kukdoku.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to every Kukdoku game, including HissRun, and to kukdoku.com. Our games are made for everyone, including children. If a game ever needs something different, it gets its own section here.

1. Information our games collect

Game data: your nickname, avatar or character choice, level progress, scores, coins, fruits, Hiss Venom, gems, herbs and other in-game items, missions, streaks and settings. It is stored on your device and backed up to our online database so you do not lose it.
Game identifiers: a random ID created on your device and an anonymous account ID. They do not tell us who you are.
Age group: before you use an account feature (for example linking a Google account, changing your name or watching an optional ad) we ask for your year of birth on a neutral screen. We keep only whether you are under 13 or 13 and older, never your birth year. Until we know, we treat you as a child.
Google account (optional, 13+ only): if you choose "Link Google Account", we receive your Google account ID and email address so you can keep your progress on a new phone.
Advertising data: our advertising partner Google AdMob may collect device information, IP address and the advertising ID to show and measure optional reward ads. For players under 13, or while the age is unknown, ads are child-directed, non-personalised and limited to G-rated content.
Invite data: if you install a game from a friend's invite link, Google Play tells the game the invite code so your friend can get a reward.
Problem reports: only if you tap "Report Problem" in Settings, the game prepares a text with the app version, phone model, your level and the game's recent technical log, and lets you choose where to send it. We receive it only if you send it to us.
Notifications: reminders (for example "Life ready") are scheduled on your device only. No data is sent to us.

2. Our website

kukdoku.com is a simple information website. It does not use cookies, advertising or analytics, and it has no accounts or forms. Like every website, our hosting provider may keep short technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the pages and keep them secure.

3. How we use information

We use information to run our games, save and restore your progress, show leaderboards, give invite, mission and event rewards, prevent cheating, show optional reward ads, answer your messages and fix problems. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for anything else. Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the game you asked for, our legitimate interest in keeping it fair and secure, and your consent for personalised ads.

4. Children's privacy

Our games are suitable for children and follow Google Play's Families policy. For players under 13:

we do not collect personal information such as email address, real name or location;
Google account linking is turned off;
nicknames can only be picked from lists of safe words;
ads are child-directed, non-personalised and G-rated.

The only identifiers used are the random game IDs needed to run the game. Parents can ask us to review or delete their child's data at any time by emailing kukdoku.com">support@kukdoku.com, or by using Settings → Delete Account & Data in the game.

We share information only with service providers that help run our games:

Supabase – hosts our online database (progress, scores, leaderboards).
Google – AdMob (optional reward ads), Google Sign-In (optional account linking for 13+), Google Play (installs and invites).

They may use the information only to provide their services, under their own privacy policies (policies.google.com/privacy and supabase.com/privacy). Their servers may be in another country than yours. We may also share information if the law requires it.

6. Leaderboards

Your nickname, avatar and scores (all-time, and for today, this week and this month) are shown to other players on the leaderboards. Please do not use your real name or any personal information as your nickname; names that look like an email address, a web address or a phone number are refused.

7. Security and storage

Information is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and our database only lets each player read and change their own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

8. How long we keep information

We keep your game data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your account, progress, scores and leaderboard entries are removed from our servers straight away. Data on your device is removed when you delete your account or uninstall the game.

9. Your choices and rights

Delete your data at any time in the game: Settings → Delete Account & Data. You can also follow the steps at kukdoku.com/delete-account.
Ask us to see, correct or delete your data by emailing kukdoku.com">support@kukdoku.com.
Players in the EEA, UK and some other regions are asked for consent before personalised ads, and can change it later.
You can reset or turn off personalised ads in your phone's Google settings, and turn off notifications in your phone settings.

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA or India's DPDP Act), you may have more rights; contact us to use them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we change the "Last updated" date and, for important changes, tell you in the game.
